You've spent years filling everyone else's cup. Making sure they were fed. Clothed. Supported. Loved. Held together. And somewhere along the way, your own cup ran dry. It rarely happens through one big gesture, does it? You pour a drip of time here. A drip of money there. Energy. Love. Resources. Small acts of love, repeated each and every day....for everyone except yourself.

The Daily Drip is a practice of learning to pour some of that love and care back into yourself. Not all at once. Not through some drastic life overhaul or complicated system you can't sustain. No thank you very much. Nobody needs that! Instead, it works through a compounding power of three different formats:

- Micro Moments — quick, small acts of care, 20 seconds to 2 minutes
- Simple Swaps — trading one small habit for another
- New Adventures — something a little bigger, to grow into or explore

Each one, on its own, is small enough to feel almost insignificant. That's the point. You're not being asked to overhaul your life...instead the goal is to choose one, two, three, or four, small acts of care, that you can pour back into yourself, one drip at a time.

Repeated daily.....these drips start adding up quickly, eventually becoming your very own resource pool, so on the hard days when you're exhausted, when help doesn't come, or when you have nothing left to give....your pool of resources are there and ready for you to draw from.

You can reach into your resource pool and lift those life-giving gifts back into your own hands, and pour generously back into yourself.

> **THE DAILY DRIP HELPS YOU BUILD YOUR VERY OWN RESOURCE POOL.**

We all have different lives...different abilities...and different constraints that need different resources at different times. What supports me may not support you. What feels like self-care for me may not be self-care for you. That's why the next step isn't a list to copy...instead it's a journaling prompt designed to help you notice your own drips, not mine.

The prompt is from the [Choose A Life You Love mental health journal (If you would like to purchase, here is the affiliate link on amazon)](https://amzn.to/4duryci) and asks you to notice which small acts of care already work for you, or which ones you would like to give yourself more often.

Whatever act of self care you would like to do daily, has the opportunity to become a drip.

The idea is to repeat your drips daily, so they stop being a single moment and start adding up to a resource pool, stored and waiting for the days you need it most. Enough resources, gathered one drip at a time, become what we call your resource pool.

Now, your resources might be different to mine, and may include actions, routines, reminders, objects, people or places. They could also include universal acts of self care like drinking water, taking vitamins, sitting quietly, going for a swim, asking for help, preparing something for tomorrow or giving yourself permission to rest.

Or you may choose self care drips that are specific to your own abilities or restraints that no-one else would ever be aware of.

There is no perfect answer.

We all have different lives...different abilities...and different constraints that need different resources at different times.

The following pages share the resources I placed into my own version of the Daily Drip: water and nutrients first.

Remembering my worth second.

Then documenting value, third...and contributing and sharing as an optional fourth.

Just remember just because they are the drips I chose for myself doesn't mean they need to be yours.

*Your Resource Pool may look completely different to mine because your abilities, constraints, and resources are completely different to mine.*

*That’s perfectly ok. ❤️*
